Barony of Burgs

The Barony of Burgs is the smallest nation/province in Western Thytika but incredibly wealthy for its size.

A former colony of the Middle Kingdom nation of Sabat the first settlers discovered an abandoned Dwarven outpost situated on an abandoned mine.

Economy

The Barony controls a number of rich silver mines abandoned by the dwarves, which dominate its trade and exports while it imports textiles from Barossa as well as other goods from other nations to meet its needs.

Military

Burgs lacks the military might of the other nations but makes up for it with its ability to pay for mercenaries and security for its wealthy Barony.

The current High Baron wisely has an agreement with an Adult Silver dragon (Tatzuo) that lives in the Eastern hills to help safeguard his mines and his Barony from outside threats

The Barony has no wizarding academies or large schools of higher education.

The wealthy rely on small schools,  educated tutors, clerics, scholars, and wizards, to educate their children. Magical learning is taught in the traditional master-apprentice format of old.

The Barony’s settlements have high numbers of militia and city guards due to the close proximity of the Goblin hills to the west and the orcs to the east.
