In this video, I test the energy of an 87-93lb Warbow (Longbow).

I later discuss Gambeson armor, referencing both historic and academic sources in order to prepare for my second video, where we will be using two bows, a 55 Longbow (click on the link for the test of that bow) & this 87lb Warbow with war arrows against gambeson.

Summary of Findings

590-970 Grain arrows

Energy Varied from 58- 71 Joules of Kinetic Energy (KE).

The heavier arrows seemed to perform the best in regard to efficiency and conversion to KE produced.
